Henk Gerrits is the branch director and chief instructor of the Okinawa Goju-Ryu karate-do JundoKan Kyokai the Netherlands.
This book covers the development and history of classical Okinawa Goju Ry karate-do and the genesis of Kyusho Jutsu, the system of vulnerable points and places on the body. Anatomically, neurologically and energetically. This book has dissected the famous 36 points of the Bubishi and made them available for every serious martial artist. In September 1997 Henk Gerrits was examined on Okinawa by Ei'ichi Miyazato sensei, 10th Dan Okinawa Goju-Ryu karatedo, and the rightful successor of Chojun Miyagi and received his rokudan ,( 六段 6th Dan) Okinawa Goju-Ryu karatedo. Today Henk Gerrits is Hachidan (八段 8th Dan) Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-do.
In the 1990s, he completed the professional training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the professional training in Classical Acupuncture. After this, he completed the training in Western Medicine and a number of additional training courses in Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, such as ear acupuncture and electro acupuncture. Today he runs a Acupuncture practice in his residence Wijchen in the Netherlands.
