About Ana Angelica Abaya van Doorn
A Swiss, Italian, Filipino poet, literary novelist, author, aphorist, memoirist, translator, essayist, bibliophile, eclectic audiobook listener, polyglot, hodophile, and a nutritarian lifestyle enthusiast. She wrote about life and gender issues articles for Rappler and the Filipino Expat Magazine. She supports children from barrio schools in the Philippines. She received an Outstanding in Poetry award, reading her acrostic poems: Single Mom and Desert Rose during an international poetry competition in Washington, D.C. [2003]. Her article about discrimination was syndicated by ABS-CBN for Global Pinoy [2013]. She was quoted in TIME Magazine [Nov. 2013] for her article on dealing with death, loss, and grief after the Haiyan tragedy. She is currently working on trilogies and pentalogies, as well as multiple book genres, including political, speculative fiction, psychological, romantic suspense, romantic comedy, historical fiction, ghostwriting memoirs, and Italian translations.
